yesterday chris and i went to the park with macy and molly. it was a beautiful day outside, and the weather was perfect. we had a picinic under a tree while the two puppies played in the sun.

i read my book and chris took alot of pictures of our m-girls. we had so much fun and really enjoyed our fun in the sun.

carlos and sandra came to visit macy and molly. it was their first time seeing molly and were amazed at how small she was, especially with macy being so small herself.

yesterday was a blast and makes me wish for spring already.

today i was getting ready upstairs in the bathroom and chris took the puppies outside to take care of their business. he comes back inside and then i hear him say my name, “jana, she did it…” i look around the corner downstairs and macy was at the top of the first flight of stairs…of course i didn’t believe chris at all. just yesterday we were trying to get molly to go up the stairs and it was torture listening to her whine and yelp. so i say her name and call her to come up the next flight of stairs to see me. and SHE DID IT! she climbed up the stairs without whining at all and did it all on her own. we were both so excited that we tested her over and over, calling her up the stairs. she DOESN’T go down them though…nope not yet, she still yelps alot at that, but soon i think she will have that mastered as well.

well i took macy to get groomed today and to give her some pampering since she has had to deal with little molly all week…anyways when she was ready to pick up from petsmart i thought she looked so cute, but then once we were in the car and on the way home i noticed her ears where really really cut short…i think the guy that groomed her thought she was part schnauzer or something because you do not cut a maltese’s ears that short. she is still cute and the hair will grow again…i really don’t have the right to complain considering before her grooming today her hair was all uneven thanks to me and my attempt to groom her myself a couple of weeks ago…so this is an improvement. i still love her to death and think she is the cutest ever!

chris and i were upstairs with molly and macy talking about our day and the two puppies were tired from playing hard downstairs in the living room with their toys. i looked over at chris and the two m-girls were nestling down for a quick nap. i caught macy in the middle of a yawn and molly was already fast asleep. here is a before and after shot (awake then asleep)

okay so macy is potty trained completely to a puppy pad in our 1/2 bathroom so she should be no problem right? WRONG! i thought i was going to only have to train molly right now and not worry about macy, well it seems as though macy is acting out! yesterday i was at home and i had to run upstairs to get something out of the bathroom when i see tootsie rolls on my bathroom mat. i then get macy spank her on the bottom and send her out of the room. okay one oops…i can live with that.

today after macy tried her hand at magically escaping the kitchen (which has puppy gates on both of the entrances) i once again go upstairs after i get home from work and chris leaves for houston and step in macy’s pee-pee (YUCK!) this time macy gets more than just one spanking and she gets put up in her crate. i felt like screaming my lungs out at the frustration of having to re-train macy and train the new pup.

**macy did escape the kitchen while chris was upstairs taking a nap (he was feeling sick)…she jumped up on top of the crate and jumped over the gate…leaving molly to yelp and holler because she was left behind…smart magic dog***

cigarettes (a.k.a –rawhides)

molly found macy’s cigarette today and ran away with it and then macy stole it back. so i decided to go ahead and get macy a new one so they could both enjoy them some cigarettes.

“cigarette” started when macy was a puppy and would carry around the rawhide in her mouth. we would say her name and she would look up with the rawhide still in her mouth which looked like she was smoking a cigarette.

i never would have thought that molly would like them as much as macy does. they are like a puppy pacifier, which is GREAT!

here is a pretty picture of our newest arrival…i am glad i didn’t give her back! i thought about it and almost had a nervous breakdown after the first night, but the next day proved different. macy and molly are now are M-girls and are here to stay. anyways how could i resist that cute baby puppy of mine. (she is probably only 1 pound right now, if that)

this was our 2nd our 3rd outing to the grass…molly started following macy around everywhere she went and hopping not running. we should have called her hopper or bunny because that is what she looks like when she runs around…they were both having lots of fun until a neighbor dog came outside and scared them both with his very mean bark. molly was so scared she ran towards our front door without looking back. she was no dummy she knew to get the heck out of there, and FAST!

well it was ummm interesting that is for sure. i decided to put both macy and molly in the kitchen with a new mesh crate and bed (thanks to petsmart) and 2 puppy gates since there are 2 entrances into my kitchen. anyhow…so i “lock them up” and say goodnight and then it started! WHINING x2. molly because she was scared and away from her surroundings and macy because she hadn’t been locked up since i don’t know when and she wasn’t getting to sleep next to chris. so i go upstairs close our door, turn the fan on, and lay there wide awake worrying about them both and if i was doing the right thing in “training” molly and if i was “damaging” macy. aghhhh! so i try to ask chris what he thought but he was trying to snore the night away…so i get out of bed and peek down at them from the stairs and they are just going to town with their whining, macy is trying her hardest to figure out how to get out and molly is walking around aimlessly. i try the loud clap and molly i think jumped a foot in the air which is high considering she is only about 4 inches tall and no it didn’t work. so i go to the top of the stairs and sit there for what seems like a whining eternity and then it STOPS…i wait…still nothing, now i am nervous to move for fear of the stairs creaking and it starting all over again. so i pivot on my butt and crawl into our room (yes i know that sounds silly) shut the door and go to sleep.

the next night… A MIRACLE HAPPENED…the whining lasted for less than 2 minutes and that was only from molly and then silence–sweet dreams!
